Geisha Assassin!

Got to finish up this Warrior riding a horse today. Pretty stoked on it! It's the bottom part of this sleeve I've been working on with a Geisha Assassin theme. The two Warriors are heavily referenced from two separate traditional Japanese Block prints who I need to find the Artist and Titles of. I did change a lot of the designs, and didn't reference anything for the color.. just went at it and hoped for the best. You will notice a poorly done older tattoo that the Warrior and Horse run into here and there. I told this client I wouldn't touch it up until I finished the rest of his arm, and he's been consistent coming in. This was the last big area on his arm that we had left so I guess we'll be reworking the dragon here next. Lemme know what you think? ..haven't had any feed back on this blog yet

..Long day!

Had a long day at the shop today! Left out of the house a lil on the late side due to a fun and inspiring conversation with my girlfriend over the internet, being that she's 3000+ miles and 3 hours time difference away from me at the moment.. Dropped my car off at the mechanic to get worked on, and eventually made my way into work. My first client was a sugar sleeve with a Japanese background. It's coming along, glad we got to wrap up the whole background today.. ready for some color!! Then had to draw up this Sugar Skull with coins over the eyes on the spot and was lucky enough to finish it in one session. Tried to keep it fairly open and simple, but I can't help going overboard with line work most of the time. He was stoked on it tho, and I had fun doing it! Ended up staying late to do the lettering I had set up for the end of the night, but was running behind on the sugar skull. By the time the day was over, I was more than willing to join my co-worker Nick for delicious sushi at Osaka's! All in all it was a good morning, busy day, did some fun tattoos, and had some good food. A lil more time for hanging out is all I could ask for..

PICTURES!!!

I figured I would post pictures of recent works to give an idea of the types of work I will be posting as this blog progresses.. enjoy

TRYING THIS OUT..

This is my first attempt at blogging. I am hoping to keep a record to date of my progress as a Tattooer mostly, but will be including random events and experiences. I will be posting pictures of works that are completed, in progress, paintings, sketches and whatever else that will portray the art I would like to be recognized for. I've been lucky enough to work with and meet the great People and Tattooers that I have, and have learned bits and pieces from each of them. So now I am here.. no where really, just here now, and this is what I have to offer the world. Feel free to let me know what you think, positive or negative as long as it's constructive it will be appreciated.
